Welcome to Hogwarts, a school of witchcraft and wizardry!
Winter break has just ended, and students are about to return to the school from the holidays, like they do every year.
What is shocking it the news waiting for them. The headmaster is pronounced deceased once the students return, and there is a new enemy in the wizarding world.
Against all odds, a muggle has discovered the world of witches and wizards. This muggle, a scientist, is strongly opposed to magic, and seeks to replace everything magical with science. A war is threatening to break out in the wizarding world, and nobody is willing to do something without the approval of all the headmasters of the major school. But the headmaster of Hogwarts is dead, isn't he?

Name: Siyamak Ahmed
Age: 17

Appearance: Siyamak is of an average height, if slightly on the shorter end of the spectrum, standing at 5'7". He is rather thin, weighing only 135 pounds. Most of his weight is made of muscle, and he is quite strong. Siyamak's hair is somewhere in between shades of dark brown and black. It falls to just past midway down his chest in gentle waves. Overall, Siyamak's hair is quite well cared for, at least for a tribute, but up close, one can still see that the ends are split and his hair is in general very dry and almost crumbly. Siyamak generally just wears his hair tied back in a high ponytail so that he doesn't dangle in his face. When his hair is up, it usually just brushes his shoulders in length. He has rather small brown eyes that are lined with kohl and deeply set into his face. Siyamak has a very prominent brow and a big forehead.

Generally, Siyamak's face is set in a very stern expression, and he rarely smiles. Siyamak's posture is impeccable, and he always stands when a perfectly straight back and looks up. Or, at least, it appears he always has a perfect posture. When he is by himself, however, he slouches so much that one could easily think that he is unable to stand up straight. He has a habit of looking down his nose at people, one of his less attractive tendencies, and always seems to give himself airs. He walks with just the slightest limp, always keeping his weight just a tiny bit more on the left side of his body, as if his right knee sometimes pained him to walk on. Whether his limp is actual or just psychosomatic, nobody quite knows, not even Siyamak himself.

Personality: Siyamak is generally very arrogant and uncaring. There is only one person that he finds important enough to be concerned about, and that is himself. Of course, Siyamak does not make it look like he only cares about himself. He is a bit of a suck up, and will do whatever someone wishes, provided they have something that could be useful to him. Once he gets whatever he needs from someone, he basically ditches them.

Siyamak is incredibly fickle. He cannot stick with a single decision, and is always changing his mind, back and forth, back and forth. Of course, he does eventually come to a decision, but only the minute before it would be too late. He is the same way with people, deciding to stay by one person's side before switching over to another person's side the next day immediately. This is one of the reasons why Siyamak does not know what these mythical 'girlfriends' or 'boyfriends' are.

One of the very few traits Siyamak has that could possibly be even considered somewhat good is his intelligence. He is a genius, with an IQ that is far higher than normal. It is this intelligence that makes it easy for Siyamak to manipulate people, and makes it slightly more difficult for him to understand why someone would want a normal relationship, as a friend or a lover, with someone. He can find a way out of almost anything, and is good at setting traps because of this high intelligence.

Appearance: 5'10" with broad shoulders and chocolate brown skin. She weighs 118 pounds and all of it is muscle. Mosca has a long, slender face ending off in a square chin, which almost always has a bandaid on it. She has high cheekbones and stunning, warm brown eyes. Her dark brown hair falls in tight circles until right below her breast, but usually reaches a little higher then below her breast- as she almost always has it in a low, tight braid.
Personality: Quite and calm-tempered. It's fairly difficult to get her angry, but if you succeed- you'll wish you hadn't. If Mosca gets angry with someone, she wont be afraid to use her wide amount of spells or brutal vocabulary that could hurt more then her spells. Lets say that if you get her angry, all hell will break loose. Despite her rare rages, Mosca is usually very kind when she talks to others in her house... Well, she only ever talks to those in her own house.

She devotes her life to reading and filling her mind with as much information as humanly possible. She can volunteer random facts and quotes from literature faster than you can blink. In social situations, she is pretty much useless, though.

He's a bigot, he's cruel, and he's certainly not afraid of the consequences. As a brilliant student, he has nothing to lose, though he has become the bane of all of the professors at Hogwarts. He does all of this to reassure himself of his sexuality, of which he is still in the closet and not likely to budge.

Personality: Naturally, Orion is a notorious kind soul. At the beginning of the year, he's known for helping out first years so that they can find what they need. He may not have many friends in particular, but he is also known to have a kind smile and helpful hints to those in need. The Slytherins tend to find these traits particularly irritating, and he is a common target for Lucian Calvor's many pranks.

Name: Ria Dermott

Appearance: Ria is tall at 5"11, with long limbs and bad posture. She's in between average and skinny and has abnormally large feet. Her hair is long and pin straight, falling down to her lower back. It's mouse brown and she typically wears it in a loose bun. She has large, pale blue eyes and a small, slightly pointy nose. Her complexion is rather pale, but she tans surprisingly well in the summer. Her fingernails are always painted with a vibrant shade of pink.
Personality: Ria is loud. Her voice has a way of travelling through the noisiest of Great Halls. Even her presence is loud, for she is constantly fidgeting or tapping her feet to some unknown rhythm. She also adores singing, though her voice isn't exactly angelic. She has an endless supply of confidence and is open and honest with everyone she meets. If she doesn't like you, there will be issues. Ria can come up with some terrible insults when she loses her temper, though over the years she has developed a great amount of tolerance for the people who don't accept her.
